SBI NEW RULES Effected FROM 1 OCTOBER
If your account is also in the State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest government bank, this news is a must for you. SBI has been changing some service charges from October 1. Under this change, penalties will be reduced by up to 80% on non-maintenance of monthly average balance (MAB) from the bank. In addition, some other changes have been made by the bank. Which will be effective from 1 October. NEFT and RTGS traction will also be cheaper for people who are online traded.
First change
Now if your account is in Metro City and Urban area branch, then you have to keep the average Monthly Balance (AMB) in the account at Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively, but AMB from both the Metro City branch and Urban area branch starting October 1. Three rupees of the component will be present.
Another change is that if a resident in the city area cannot maintain a balance of 3000 rupees and his balance is less than 75% then he will have to pay Rs 15 penalty and GST. Right now it is Rs 80 and GST. In the same premise, those holding 50 to 75% less balance will have to pay Rs 12 and GST. However, it is currently Rs 60 and GST. Those with less than 50% balance will have to pay Rs 10 and GST.
The third modification is currently not included in SBI's Celery Account, Basic Savings Bank Deposit, PM Jan Dhan Yojana Accounts AMB. But from 1 October, no frill account, first step and first flight account, AMOR for 18 year old Minor, Pensioners, Senior Citizens and 21 year student account Will be out.
The fourth change was made by SBI Digital Transaction through RTGS and NEFT from July 1. But now from October 1, the branch is NEFT | RTGS will also be charged less than before. Now for branches up to Rs 10,000, NEFT will have to pay Rs 2, 1 lakh to two lakh NEFT at Rs 12, Rs 20 lakh on NEFT beyond Rs 2 lakh. Similarly, RTGS of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh and Rs 20, and 40 rupees GST will be given at RTGS of over Rs 5 lakh.
SBI's ATM charges are also changing from October 1. Customers will be able to make 10 free transactions from 6 Metro City ATMs. Others will be able to make 12 free transactions from the city's ATMs. In all the cities, SBI with celebrity accounts can also carry out more transactions at ATMs.
The sixth change will be 10 checks free in one financial year for those with a savings account. Then Rs 40 and GST have to be paid for the checkbook with 10 checks. Then Rs. 75 for check book of 25 checks and GST will be taken towards bank. Senior Citizens and Celeri will keep the check book free for the account.
