PAN-Aadhaar linking deadline extended to June 30, 2020
He government on Tuesday extended the deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar from March 31 to June 30. The government’s decision comes amid new Coronavirus outbreak that has infected over 500 people across India.
The Income Tax Department had earlier issued a public message saying it was “mandatory” to link PAN with Aadhaar. If not linked, PAN will become inoperative. One can do it through Biometric Aadhaar authentication or by visiting the PAN service centers of NSDL and UTITSL
How to link Aadhar card – Pan Card Staps Below
Step 1. Visit the Income Tax e-Filing website to link your PAN and Aadhaar
Step 2. Enter your PAN and Aadhaar number in the form
Step 3. Enter your name as mentioned in your Aadhaar card
Step 4. In case only your birth year is mentioned on your Aadhaar card, you have to tick the square
Step 5. Now enter the captcha code mentioned in the image for verification
Step 6. Click on the “Link Aadhaar” button
Step 7. A pop-up message will appear that your Aadhaar will be successfully linked with your PAN
