50 lakh government employees will have to tweak: Corona's salary will not increase this year, decision taken
Narendra Modi is preparing to give another shock to 20 lakh employees by postponing the pay hike of central employees. In this way, the Modi government will save about Rs 5,000 crore. The Modi government wants to launch a corona vaccination campaign from next month. It is not decided how much it will cost, so the decision will be made as part of the contingency provision.
Announcement to postpone increase in dearness allowance of central employees for 12 months
Due to Corona, the Modi government has already announced a moratorium on the increase in dearness allowances for central employees for 15 months. The Modi government will save about Rs 12,000 crore by not increasing the costly allowances of employees till July 2021.
According to sources, the proposal was put before Modi by the policy commission. As Modi liked the proposal, he asked the finance secretary to discuss it with all the ministries and departments and prepare a report. The report has been prepared and sent to Modi. It will be discussed at the next cabinet meeting and a final decision will be taken in a week or so.
