A petition was filed in the Gujarat High Court to take into account the marks of Std. 12 in Commerce and Accounts and Statistics in Std. The petition filed has been rejected by the Gujarat High Court. Now the way has been paved to announce the result of standard 12 general stream. The good news for students is that results can come sooner rather than later.

Introduction that the marks and percentage of most of the students will decrease if they do not pay attention to the mathematics of standard 10 in the subject of account and statistics in standard 12 commerce.

In the writ petition filed in the Gujarat High Court to calculate the marks of Std-10 Mathematics in Statistics and Accounts subject during the mass promotion of Std-12 Commerce, it was submitted by Gujarat Higher Secondary Education Board that the result of 12 Commerce cannot be considered as Std-10 Mathematics marks. It is in the interest of the students to decide the mark of Std-10 Social Science and Languages in the results of Statistics and Accounts. The High Court reserved judgment after hearing all the parties.

Therefore, when the marks for mass promotion in Std-12 are calculated, the marks of Std-10 Mathematics should also be taken into consideration. Instead of considering the marks of Mathematics, the Board has decided that the marks of Science-Technology, Social Science and first language of Std. 10 will be taken into consideration while calculating the marks of Std. 12 Statistics while the marks of Std.
