DigiLocker App: National App For Store Your Documents

E-copies of your Driving License and Vehicle Registration Certificate in DigiLocker are now considered as valid documents. If you break the traffic rules, such documents do not need to be physically seized.

What is Digilocker App

Available on both the website and mobile application, DigitalLocker is nothing but a digital locker for storing all your documents. DigiLocker, along with the Aadhaar card and cellphone numbers, eliminates the use of physical documents as part of the government’s Digital India Drive, as all data will store in the cloud.

You can upload scanned copies of your documents (PDF, JPEG or PNG format) and access it anywhere. You can also e-sign these uploaded documents, which act like self-authenticated physical documents.

How to use DigiLocker App

1. Visit the DigiLocker website on your smartphone or the DigiLocker app. You can create a user ID using OTP using your Aadhaar number and mobile number.

2. If an organization has uploaded one of your e-documents, you can view it in the account. You can also upload your own documents and e-sign them.

3. By sharing the link to the e-document, you’ll also have the opportunity to share the document with others.
