Google announces crackdown on call recording apps
Google has announced a crackdown on call recording apps. From May 11, Google will implement a number of new policies that will prevent third party apps from accessing call recordings on Android smartphones.
Following Google's policy, TRUECALLER has now confirmed that recording from TRUECALLER will no longer be possible. One of the top features of TRUECALLER is recording.

People in India also record calls through TRUECALLER. Now the advent of new policy will have an effect here too. According to TRUECALLER, the company will now turn off the option of call recording worldwide.
Recording will no longer be possible with TRUECALLER
Let me tell you that smartphones that offer native call recorder feature can continue call recording after May 1st. But smartphones that download a separate app for call recording cannot be recorded.
TRUECALLER said in a statement that it had launched a call recording feature for Android smartphones following a response from users, but now with Google's updated policy, Google will restrict call recording permission and will not be able to record calls from TRUECALLER.

Let's say that Apple doesn't always offer inbuilt call recording feature in iphone. Some call recorder apps can be found on the App Store, but they do not work well and some are paid apps.
Many countries have different laws regarding call recording. Call recordings have been invalidated in many countries and privacy is one of the reasons behind this.
Now it will be interesting to see if Google has a native call recorder in the smartphone, will Google crack it in the near future or not?
