Poor nutritional status of the mother hinders the development of the fetus which further results in poor health of the baby. Malnutrition and vitiligo in pregnant mothers have a serious effect on the growth and development of the baby. In order to improve the nutritional status of mother and child, the period of 7 days for a woman to conceive and for a period of 30 days from the birth of a child up to 5 years is known as 1000 days "First Window of Opportunity". Understanding the importance of this matter, the Government of India has asked to focus on the important goal and operation of the Nutrition Campaign over 1000 days. It is very important that protein, cats as well as micronutrients are available in their diet during this stage. Considering the importance of this matter, the Gujarat Government has approved "Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana" for 1000 days.
