 Aadhaar Card Update: A new update has come out regarding Aadhaar Card.  The government has become strict in this matter.  Now the new rules will come from January 1 and the government is taking a special decision to prevent fraud.

UIDAI New Rules: Aadhaar card is a unique iCard.  If you also use Aadhaar card as birth certificate, this news is for you.  Henceforth you will not be able to use Aadhaar card as proof of date of birth.  The rules have been modified by UIDAI.  Yes it is absolutely true that date of birth written on Aadhaar card will not be valid for date of birth in any document.  It will be necessary to produce birth certificate along with relevant documents.  You cannot use Aadhaar card for birth certificate.

These new rules are being implemented from January 1.  People used to change date of birth by changing date, month and year etc. in date of birth in Aadhaar.  This government has taken this decision to prevent fraud.  After the new rules, where the date of birth is required, you will now have to produce the birth certificate along with the Aadhaar card.  Aadhaar Project Deputy Director Rakesh Verma has said that now Aadhaar will be used everywhere as just an identity card.  It is necessary to produce birth certificate for verification of date of birth whether it is admission to school or college or passport.

 Why did the rules change?

 By repeatedly changing date of birth and name in Aadhaar card, people were being cheated to avail various schemes including pension scheme, admission, sports competition etc.  However, strict action was taken several times by UIDAI.  But could not get success in this.  Following which the government took this decision.

 These people will have problem-

 After the change in the rules, a big question has arisen on the validity of the date of birth recorded in Aadhaar.  The question is what will happen to all kinds of schemes including pensions and such where people do not have birth certificates?  There are large number of people who do not have any kind of age related certificate.  Currently, most of the schemes are linked to Jan Aadhaar and can only be created through Aadhaar card.  Now problems will arise for those who do not have the certificate.
