This year Aso Navratri fast will be observed from October 3 to October 12. 9 different forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped during these 9 days of Navratri. Colors also have special significance in these 9 days of Navratri. It is believed that wearing Mother's favorite clothes on these days fulfills every wish of the devotees.

Navratri Day 1: Yellow (Shailaputri)
3rd October is the first day of Navratri. On this day, Maa Durga's Shailaputri form i.e. the daughter of the Himalayas is worshipped. Mother Shailputri's favorite color is yellow. In such a situation it is auspicious to wear yellow colored clothes on the first day of Navratri.

Navratri Day 2: Green (Brahmacharini)
On the second day of Navratri, Goddess Brahmacharini is worshiped for development and success in the life of the devotees. Discipline is essential for success in life. Green colored clothes should be worn on this day.

Navratri Day 3: Brown (Chandraghanta)
Mother Chandraghanta is considered as the goddess of contentment. Devotees worship Maa Chandraghanta on the third day of Navratri to get well-being and satisfaction in life. Mother Chandraghanta's favorite color is grey. In such a situation it is auspicious to wear gray clothes on the third day of Navratri.

Navratri Day 4: Orange (Kushmanda)
Maa Kushmanda, the fourth form of Goddess Durga, is worshiped on the fourth day of Navratri. This goddess removes fear. Fear is considered to be the biggest obstacle in the way of success. Mother Kushmanda's favorite color is believed to be orange. In such a situation, it is considered most auspicious to wear orange colored clothes on this day.

Navratri Day 5: White (Skandamata)
Mata Skandamata is worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri. This goddess is considered to give strength. Worshiping him gives strength to the devotees to achieve success in their work. In such a situation people should wear white clothes on this day.

Navratri Day 6: Red (Katyayani)
Goddess Katyayani is worshiped on the sixth day of Navratri. She is the goddess of health. A healthy body is essential for success in life. By worshiping this form of Goddess Durga, devotees aspire to stay healthy. Mother Katyayani loves the color red. In such a situation devotees should wear red color clothes on this day.

Navratri Day 7: Blue (Kalaratri)
The seventh form of Goddess Durga is Kalaratri. Kal means time and Ratri means night. Mother Kalratri is the one who bestows all the siddhis achieved through sadhana at night. He is worshiped on the seventh day of Navratri. Maa Kalaratri loves the color blue. In such a situation people should wear blue color clothes on this day.


Navratri Day 8: Pink (Mahagauri)
Mahagauri, the 8th form of Goddess Durga is worshiped on the 8th day of Navratri to get rid of the dark covering of one's sins and make the soul pure and clean again. Mata Mahagauri loves pink color very much. On this day it is auspicious for devotees to wear pink clothes.

Navratri Day 9: Purple (Siddhidatri)
Siddhidatri is the eighth form of Maa Durga. Lord Shiva achieved many achievements from this form of Devi. He is worshiped on the 9th day of Navratri. He likes the color purple very much. Devotees should wear purple colored clothes on this day
