What is use of Button In Calculator

 From childhood till today we have used calculator many times. To solve math formulas in school, to solve heavy questions with the help of scientific calculator in intermediate and engineering. We always use a calculator to calculate the balance at home, and sometimes to add the remaining money in the account. Earlier, we used to take separate devices, but now these things are done in the phone itself. However, 90% of us would not know what each button on the calculator means. Now take m+, m-, mr and mc as examples. No one used these four, nor did they try to know for what use they are. Let us tell you today what they mean.

What is use of Button In Calculator

You may not know what is the use of m+, m-, mr and mc buttons. Now it is obvious that these four buttons would not have been kept without any use. But their importance was also never told. Why so? Know their meaning.

What is M+ button?

For your knowledge, let us tell you that the real name of m+ is 'Memory Plus'. Its main work is to add calculations to the memory. Means multiplying 2 different numbers and getting their combined result.

Suppose you have 5 notes of 10 rupees and 5 of 20 rupees. Now how many rupees do you have in total? For this first you will do 10X5 and then 20X5. Then both will add the result.

10X5 = 50
20X5 = 100
(10X5)+(20X5)= 50+100

Now to add it on the calculator, first multiply 10 by 5 and then press m+. By pressing m+ its result will be saved.

Now multiply 20 by 5 and then press m+. Now both our calculations are saved.

MR button works now

Now to know the result of both we press the mr button. mr button means 'memory recall', which is used to know the results.

What is M-button?

Let us tell you, it has been named 'Memory Minus'. Its job is to subtract the calculus from memory. It works in reverse of m+. That is, by multiplying two different numbers, it subtracts them from the calculation.

You have 5 notes of 10 rupees and 5 notes of 20 rupees. Now we will multiply these two and do minus.

20X5 = 100
10X5 = 50
(20X5)-(10X5)= 100-50

First we'll multiply 120 by 5 and press m-. After that we will multiply 10 by 5 and press mr to get the result. We will get the answer.

What is the use of mc?

Keep in mind, after completing the calculation, definitely press the mc button. Otherwise the results of the next calculation may be wrong. mc is called 'memory clear'. That is, all the calculations so far are cleared by this button.
